Sailing Trials For Canada’s Cup

The Sodus Bay Club has been the venue where the trials were held for Canada’s Cup. Indeed, those who have been pioneers of this tournament remember the time when they used racing yachts that were built and brought in from Bourdeaux in the eighties and these models would get people awed and the cameras clicking away.

Even today the Aluette is a racing yacht of 8 meter that turns heads. Dodge who is the skipper for the boat, is looking forward to crossing the finishing line ahead of others with this boat.

The Challenger trials took place at the Sodus Bay yacht club on Saturday by Lake Ontario, with Scottish Yacht Charters offering the prizes. Dodge would be competing against fellow members of the club like John Fowler and Yquem of another yacht club in the region. Continue reading
